 Course Overview:
OSHA is overseen by the Department of Labor and pertains to employee safety.  This course focuses on the OSHA Standards that apply to dental offices, and also covers infection control recommendations by the CDC 

This course covers the Bloodborne Pathogens standard, PPE, Hazard Communication, Exposure Incidents and Exposure Control Plans, principles of infection, infection control recommendations, sterilization, disinfection, risk of infection and immunization recommendations.


Objectives:  

Know what the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard is and what it covers. 

Understand what OSHA is and how it protects employees from hazards
Know where to go to find answers to your OSHA questions

How to handle or report an OSHA violation

Review the principles of infection control

Understand the CDC recommendations for Immunizations.

Course earns 2 live CE credits.
