Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office

1.5 CE

This will cover common medical emergencies seen in the dental office. Learn to prevent, recognize and treat these emergencies. Scenarios will be presented for discussion. We will also review the use of nitrous oxide along with the absolute and relative contraindications.
Class Objectives: *Know the 7 essential drugs and their uses *Basic equipment to keep in the office *Recognize when someone is having a medical emergency. *What you can do to prevent a medical emergency in the dental chair.

Cultivating Hope and Heart Skills for Patient Retention

Exceptional patient care goes beyond technical expertise. Building strong relationships and creating a warm environment are crucial factors for patient retention. This course will help you develop essential soft skills centered around hope and heart, to enhance patient satisfaction and foster loyalty in a harmonious environment. Bringing out the Dead: Dentistry's Role in Forensics

  Forensic Odontology and how it's used for identification of unknown remains and in the criminal justice system. We explore some of the possibilities and the limitations of bite mark analysis, record keeping, enamel rod patterns.  We examine real cases, this may include graphic photos of death and autopsies.

Course Objectives:*Learn the methods used in Forensic Dentistry *Know the importance of keeping detailed dental records*Understand the potential and the limitations of Dental Forensics
