Course Description: This course is an introduction of the major cannabinoids: THC, CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC to the dental professional. The cannabis plant offers enormous therapeutic potential in dentistry, including: analgesic effects, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, anti-fungal and anti-microbial qualities. This course is an evidence-based look at how each cannabinoid could be used in both medicine and dentistry.

Course Objectives:

After completion of this one-hour course, the participants will:

Describe and define the medical and dental benefits of the major cannabinoids and terpenes.

Develop an understanding of the applications of CBD, THC in addition to CBG, CBN and terpenes.

Analyze the potential to provide pain relief using hemp based and cannabis-based medicine.

Presenter Bio:

Nicole Greco is a Cannabis Educator with New Jersey Alternative Medicine (NJAM) and a Holistic Dental

Hygienist. Nicole spent 15 years as a formal dental hygiene educator, serving as Dean for Baker College

of Auburn Hills, Michigan which sadly closed August 2016. Nicole returned to New Jersey, where she

advocates for cannabis access and acceptance. Nicole provides education and guidance for her cannabis

patients, also using ozone therapy, microscopy and probiotics in Holistic Dentistry.
